Tybee Island

Above you see two sand sculptures from Tybee Island near Savannah, GA.  The beach was packed with families on spring break.  There was so much activity that it seemed like we were stuck in a Richard Scary picture book about the beach. We went over there in a car (woohoo!) today with our friends, Ceci and Jim.  They are visiting from Atlanta.  Today is Ceci's birthday, and we will be going out to dinner at the Driftaway Restaurant in a little bit.  Right now the group is having happy hours on the fly bridge on a perfectly beautiful Wednesday evening.

We were pretty lazy today, just enjoying being with friends, eating and drinking, napping and playing Words with Friends.

Yesterday I took a late afternoon walk on Bluff Road near the marina.  Here are two views of a cool boathouse.  The shutters have wooden cut outs showing the phases of the moon.  Witty work.
