Aunt Aggie is a 35 foot Mainship Trawler.

Visitors in 2015

Caronell Gibbs, Trisha Moorman, and Judy Wood were our first Key West visitors.  They were great walkers and up for anything.  We had full days exploring the city.

January 15 - 19, 2015

Nannette Alexander, Donny and Jenny Jackson came to see us and celebrated Nannette's birthday on January 22, 2015. They stayed for four wonderful days.

January 21 - 25, 2015

Katherine and Eddie Brewer visited at the end of January.  We enjoyed an outdoor table and delicious tapas with them.  We also played cards:  Two games became our nightly routine, 3 to 13 and B. S.

January 27 - 31, 2015

Anne and Phil Murff visited in February.  They were great sports when we both came down with colds.  Anne and I had a full day of shopping plus we all enjoyed Blue Heaven for brunch.  They were our last visitors at Key West.  Having company from home see this with us has made it even more special.

February 2 - 6, 2015

Karen Higginbotham drove us from Atlanta to Daytona, so we could get back on
Aunt Aggie.  What a good friend!  We had a fun day together.

March 26, 2015

Rhonda Davidson and Bob Keown came for happy hour at Isle of Hope Marina near Savannah, GA.  They brought lots of goodies, and we celebrated with champagne.

April 3, 2015

Barb, John, India, and Molly Wrede, plus the girls' friend Ari visited Aunt Aggie during their spring break trip to Savannah.  We had a Mexican lunch on the fly bridge.  I taught both the Wrede sisters, and it was fun to have young guests.

April 7, 2015

Ceci and Jim McAuliffe visited us at Isle of Hope in Savannah during Spring Break.  We celebrated Ceci's birthday on April 8.  We also took two fun day trips to Tybee Island (by car)  and River Street (on Aunt Aggie).

April 8 - 10, 2015

Barrie, Wesley, and Addie Harper, second cousins to George Harper Alexander, visited us in
Norfolk.  They were fun guests.  Wesley moved quickly around the boat, sizing her up.
He declared that we had a nice galley.  Also he said he'd never seen "a boat with a bottom."
Five years old, Wesley was already a charmer.

  1. If you get a chance to go to Sloppy Joe's bar in downtown KW, catch the Pete and Wayne show. They are irreverent, crazy, and downright dirty sometimes, but a great, entertaining evening.

  2. Thanks for the tip, Laura. We've been to Sloppy Joe's a few times, but we haven't seen Pete and Wayne. I'll try to find out when they are appearing.
