Isle of Hope Marina

We are in Savannah at Isle of Hope Marina.  It feels like summer.  Our guests for this evening, Rhonda and Bob, tennis buddies, are on the way.  We had a lovely trip this morning.

The water at 8:00 am was glassy as we traveled over Sapelo Sound.

We did not see many boats today.  We were ahead of the crowd.  No issues at Hell Gate for us:  We
came through just an hour after high tide and there was no wind.  I always feel the pull of the ocean toward Africa, but we scooted around the bend and up into the river.

We saw this fisherman checking his crab pots on the Vernon River.  Pelicans followed him.

At the Sapelo Narrows Bridge there were lots of kids swimming.  At the time I didn't realize how
hot it is.  Now I wish I'd jumped in too.

Rhonda and Bob are here!  Happy Friday to all!
