Super Friends!

This is the view as we wash dishes on our "last" morning at Stock Island Marina.  The sky is almost always beautiful here.

We have always been blessed with good friends, and now we have two more for whom we are thankful:  Kathy and John Scott are helping us take Aunt Aggie to Marathon.  The plan is for George and John to leave here on the boat at 10:00 am tomorrow and motor up Hawk's Channel to Boot Key Harbor.  They think the weather will be better than yesterday's.  Kathy will drive John to our marina.  After we wave goodbye to the guys, she and I will spend the day together.  I'm picturing a ladies' lunch, which is one of my specialties.  Then we will meet them at the harbor around 3:30 pm after they've anchored.  Doesn't that sound lovely?

George asked John for help yesterday via email, and John responded, "Yes."  I just can't thank them enough for this huge favor.  They are also coming over for supper tonight, so I will express my gratitude with wine, soup, and key lime pie.

Yesterday we went to Sloppy Joe's for a late lunch.  There was a fun musician, leading a sing-along of tunes from the 1960s.  "Louie, Louie" started the set, and "Last Kiss" better known as "Where oh where can my baby be?  The Lord took her away from me..." ended it.

We enjoyed one last walk down Duvall Street.  What a great spot for people watching and window shopping!  While we were waiting for the shuttle back home, someone asked George to stand up, so his wife could see the tee shirt George was wearing.  They laughed and said we had made their day.

Eddie Brewer gave this shirt to George.  It makes us laugh, and it got attention in Key West, which is saying something.
