Niagara Falls

We visited Niagara Falls today with thousands of others.

The water looked clean and green.

Happy 4th of July!  Today we drove three hours to see Niagara Falls with our friends, Jean and Dave from Knot There. As we got close, the traffic came to a halt.  The town did not have enough parking for the crowd. Eventually we left the car in a two hour parking space. We ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and saw the falls from several vantage points and levels.  They are magnificent.

This is a boat from the Canadian side, loaded with tourists getting a wet, close look.

Here are Dave and Jean and the cute VW they rented.
This car is easy to find in the parking lot.

We're back home now and having a quiet night.  Last night we enjoyed the marina picnic and fireworks in Brewerton.  We got the word today that the Oswego Canal may open on Tuesday morning.  So we have two more days here at least.  We were lucky to have a fun field trip today.
